Priddis Valley Gardens (Priddis, Alberta). There’s a secret, colourful little place on the Highway 22x just a few miles west of Calgary, at the corner of Priddis Valley Road. It is a magical spot bursting of brilliance, creativity and imagination. The Priddis Valley Gardens is a free-of-charge public facility for strolling, viewing, meditation, and public art.
Our eclectic gardens are a must-stop destination for those seeking inspiration and who wish to be creative. Our flower gardens and living maze attract those who wish to spend a few peaceful hours enjoying nature in quiet. Art is another focus of the gardens with original works at every corner. The GeoDome features the work of local artists. Bring your children and your picnics!
The spring and summer months are very busy at the Gardens! We offer workshops on gardening, blacksmithing, basket weaving, garden art and more. Bring your children to the Buggily Boo Dome for crafts, drawing and painting. Each weekend we host a live performance event, featuring local musicians, dancers, comics, firespinners and more. Our signature events are the Festival of the Lady Bug, where we release 100,000 ladybugs & allies into our greenhouses, the annual Masquerade Ball, and the annual Pig Roast. Each event features many local bands and performance artists.
The Priddis Valley Gardens grows and retails pesticide free annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetables from our own greenhouses. We also provide amazing services, including garden and landscape design. And you won’t find a more vibrant setting for weddings, parties and private events. We are also developing sustainable gardening projects.
"Most of the shrubs and flowers in our yard come from Priddis Valley Gardens. They have done well over the years and our garden has matured into a beautiful place we love to share with family and friends. Kelly makes sure that she sells only plants that will grow and thrive in our very particular and difficult climate near Calgary." Roni Jurgensen, Priddis, Alberta.
"We'd never been to the Gardens before the Lady Bug Festival. What a great experience, for me and my family. The ambience was incredible, and the grounds so beautiful. My kids had a super time." Nick E., Calgary, Alberta
